INNOVATIONS IN THE INDIAN FINANCIAL SECTOR TOWARDS ECONOMIC GROWTH

Details

In the current scenario the key focus is towards financial sector development. Financial sector comprises: financial institutions, instruments, financial markets and financial intermediaries .This sector recently been receiving attention from the government, policy makers, industry and academicians. This is primarily due to the innovations and development in the sector and its potential to contribute to economic growth and social welfare.

The National Conference will enable exchange of knowledge and views between members of industry and academia on the theme „Innovations in the Indian Financial Sector towards Economic Growth‟. It will provide a platform for delegates to present their research findings and conceptual understanding of various domains in the financial sector towards sharing and increasing the information base in this imperative sector of the Indian economy.

The goal of the National Conference on Innovation in Indian Financial Sector is to enhance the exchange of ideas and experience among industry and academia. The conference will facilitate discussion of issues with emphasis on banking and finance. Specific topics include the changing paradigm for financial sector regulations, risk management in banks, the emergence of new financial intermediaries and product innovations.

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERENCE

To recognize and deliberate on the innovations in the financial sector
To integrate theoretical and experimental perspective of research on banking and finance.
To identify the domains in financial sector and to explore the opportunities for economic growth.
