With the rapid growth in technology, there has also been a negative effect on the ecology and environment. Therefore there is a need for serious concern amongst nations to foster global partnership for ensuring sustainable development.

Increased level of waste and its disposal/management has become a cause for concern amongst all nations. This conference aims at presenting a platform for exchanging views on waste management.

Objectives

The main objective of the conference is to assess the various aspects of waste Management for sustainable development

The sub objectives of the project are:

• To create awareness among citizens towards waste management.

• To discuss treatment options for conversion of waste to wealth.

• To devise approaches for minimizing adverse impact of waste on 7environment and human health.

• To initiate steps towards securing renewed political commitment for waste management.
